Paulo Mengali is the fourth-generation owner of Sitio Santo Ambrosio in Divinolandia de Minas in the state of Sao Paulo. His great-grandfather migrated from Italy in the late 1800 planning to grow wheat and grapes but quickly discovered to his own expense that microclimate and seasons were very different than his motherland. Resilient and hardworking he learnt the craft of coffee farming and a few years later bought the land where his great-grandson Paulo still farms coffee today.
